African Glass Bead Necklace

African glass beads are stunning and absolutely fascinating.  First, they are made out of recycled glass bottles. Second, they are made entirely by hand.  Someone sorts the bottles by color, crushes them, forces the glass into molds and sends them into an oven.  The videos online of the beads being made are fascinating.

This necklace lets the African glass beads shine. They are the focus of the necklace. The hematite and lava beads serve simply to draw attention to them.
